Course Content
To help construction supervisors to:
- Supervise and protect the environment through legal provisions
- Protect the eco-system – the relationships and interactions between animals, plants (flora and fauna) and organisms and their environment
- Follow environmental management systems and processes to mitigate environmental damage
- Play their part in reducing statutory nuisance and disturbance to neighbours
- Manage the impact that archaeology and heritage can have on construction
- Control water consumption and reduce the impact construction has on natural water supplies
- Implement control measures to prevent the pollution of watercourses
- Identify ethically sourced timber though the chain-of-custody entering site
- Identify, control and manage contamination on brownfield sites
- Classify, segregate and properly dispose of waste
How is the course delivered?
The course is delivered in either a classroom or virtually. For classroom courses, this can be at our site or yours.
We use a range of delivery techniques to provide a highly interactive course taught through case studies, classroom discussion and group work.
Entry requirements
- To be able to read, write and understand English to a good level. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area
- If you need to re-sit the test, you must do this within 90 days of the original course date at an additional charge
- You will need to provide a valid ID on the first day of the course, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.
How much does it cost?
The cost of this course is £175 plus VAT per person.
Assessment
You must contribute throughout the day of the course.
The paper consists of 25 questions: 22 multiple choice questions and 3 multiple response questions. This exam paper must be taken at the end of the course. You will have 30 minutes to complete the test and the last 10 minutes are open book (GE700E) may be used.

Certification for this course is valid for 5 years.
